    A couple of updates are in order.

    Firstly, we have released a new trailer, this time dedicated to the Moog synthesiser. We are big fans of the analogue synthesiser and have come to use it prevalently in Phases from it’s quirky oscillation filters and soaring leads to thumping Taurus Bass.

    Secondly, Ryan has started developing a blog, his first article was published recently and celebrates the come back of Vinyl and explains why he thinks younger people are starting to appreciate it.   • Eden Shadow recording ‘Elgon’

    Trailer 5 is now available for ‘Phases’. For this trailer, we take you through the recording process for one of the most ambitious songs on the record, ‘Elgon’ featuring an array of time signature changes as well as a staggering drum solo from Tom.

    ‘Restlessness’ is also now available on youtube.

     

  • Album update and new trailer available.

    A couple of updates to share with you.

    First of all, thank you to everyone who has tuned in to ‘Restlessness’ we are thrilled with the response we have had and it has gotten us very excited about releasing our second single ‘Hope You’re Happy’ which will be released on the 16th October.

    Restlessness is also now available on Bandcamp for those wishing to download it.

    Additionally, we have released a new trailer of the band recording in the studio which is the video below.

  • Restlessness now available for streaming.

    Eden Shadow are thrilled to announce that ‘Restlessness’ the first single from our debut album, Phases is now available for streaming.

     

  • Debut Album Single – Restlessness to be released.

    Eden Shadow’s first single from their debut album ‘Phases’ is Restlessness and will be released on the 16 September 2013.

    Restlessness will be available for streaming on this website as well as their facebook page and soundcloud.

    Eden Shadow have since announced their long awaited debut album, Phases release date for the 5th November. It will be released through the newly established prog label, White Knight Records and features a guest appearance from Hawkwind’s Nik Turner.

  • Eden Shadow announce debut album ‘Phases’.

    We Reveal’

    Eden Shadow’s debut album ‘Phases’ will be released through WhiteKnight Records 5th November in both physical and digital formats.

    The track listing is the following

    1. First Phase
    2. Restlessness
    3. Hallucinogen
    4. Hope You’re Happy
    5. Imagination (feat. Nik Turner)
    6. The Stars Unfold
    7. Elgon
    8. True Grace

    The first single is Restlessness and will be released online on the 16th September. 

    The album artwork is designed by Katy Burgess.

    Eden Shadow are pleased to announce a new trailer for Phases.

     

     

    The following video shows some footage of the band recording in the studio and give you an insight to the various recording sessions. More to follow shortly.

  • Eden Shadow Phases (Trailer)

    Eden Shadow are excited to announce their debut album…Phases.

    Phases was written and recorded between November 2009 and June 2013.

    Here is a trailer for Phases and over the coming months, we will be announcing the release date, track listing, behind the scenes footage and much more.

  • Eden Shadow at The Star Inn Guildford, 3rd June, 2013

    Eden Shadow return to the Star Inn on the 3rd June where they shall be showcasing material off the upcoming debut album, ‘Phases’. 

    Joining them will be the spectacular bass/drum duo Kinky Wizzards and acoustic singer/songwriter Ben Longman. 

     

  • Farewell to Uncle Pablo’s Studio.

    Whilst we have been a bit quiet over the recent months. All three of us have been working away on studying for our degrees, pursuing different projects and planning the post production stages of our debut album. With regards to the debut album, it’s been a really exciting month for us, the mixes are getting there, and we cannot wait to start sharing it with you. 

    On with this blog’s subject title: we returned to Uncle Pablo’s rehearsal studios on Saturday, based in Poole, and had been very kindly invited to play a set down there to celebrate the closing down of the studio. 

    This came as sad news to us, since we have many fond memories down there including, sleeping there after playing our first gig and using the studios for the majority of the guitar recordings for the debut album.

    The night was great fun, and there was a plethora of music, from raging punk to long Hawkwind style space rock jams, to Gary Numan style synth pop to prog. I think it’s safe to say that a very joint effort by all people associated with the studio gave Uncle Pablo’s a certainly great send off. 

    We would like to thank Alan, Graham and all at Uncle Pablo’s for the help and support they have provided Eden Shadow…from giving us a space to record, to allowing us to have somewhere to sleep after playing a gig! We wish them all the best in continuing to support underground music and keeping the community alive… 

    Long live experimental-industrial-space-prog rock and roll!
